University & College Admissions
A clear, calm plan for applying to university or college
Applying to post-secondary can feel like a maze of programs, prerequisites, portals and deadlines. We help students and parents understand the options, make a plan and build the strongest application they can — without the last-minute panic.
Who it’s for
- Students in Grades 9 and 10 who want to choose the right senior courses
- Grade 11 students starting to research programs
- Grade 12 students preparing applications and supplementary forms
- Parents who want to understand the Canadian application process
Problems we help solve
We often hear:
- “There are hundreds of programs — where do I even start?”
- “I didn’t realize my program needed Grade 12 Chemistry.”
- “I don’t know what to write in my supplementary application.”
- “We’re not sure if university or college is the better fit.”
- “As parents, the system is new to us and we don’t want to miss anything.”
- “I’m worried I’ve left it too late.”
What’s included
How we support you, step by step
- STEP 01
Choosing programs and schools
We explore the student’s interests, strengths and goals, then research Canadian universities and colleges with programs that fit — including location, cost, co-op and campus life.
- STEP 02
High school course selection
We map out Grade 10, 11 and 12 courses so the student meets the prerequisites for the programs they are considering, while keeping options open.
- STEP 03
Admission requirements and deadlines
We help you read and understand each program’s requirements — required courses, supplementary applications, portfolios, auditions or interviews — and the dates that matter.
- STEP 04
Application timeline planning
A personalized calendar for the application year, so nothing sneaks up on you: research, applications, documents, scholarships and decisions.
- STEP 05
Personal statements and supplementary applications
Brainstorming, outlining and feedback on drafts. The writing always stays the student’s own — we coach, we don’t write it for them.
- STEP 06
Extracurricular and profile planning
Ideas for meaningful activities, volunteering, part-time work and leadership that reflect genuine interests — not a checklist.
- STEP 07
Scholarship and award guidance
Finding entrance scholarships, awards and bursaries the student may be eligible for, and planning applications for them.
- STEP 08
Interview preparation
Where a program includes an interview, we run practice sessions and give friendly, specific feedback.
How sessions work
- Format
- One-on-one meetings with the student; parents invited to key sessions
- Where
- Online anywhere in Canada, or in person in Brampton
- Length
- [CONFIRM] 60-minute meetings
- Frequency
- Planned around the application calendar — more often in the busy fall of Grade 12
- Best time to start
- Any time — Grade 9 or 10 gives the most room to plan, but it is never too late to get help
Application systems across Canada
Each province handles applications differently. Here is a general overview — we will walk you through the system that applies to you.
Ontario universities: most applications go through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC). Ontario colleges: most applications go through OntarioColleges.ca. [VERIFY]
British Columbia: many public post-secondary institutions accept applications through EducationPlannerBC. [VERIFY]
Alberta: many institutions use ApplyAlberta, while others take applications directly. [VERIFY]
Quebec: CEGEP applications are usually made through a regional admissions service (such as SRAM in the Montréal area), and universities have their own application processes. [VERIFY]
Other provinces and territories: most universities and colleges accept applications directly through their own websites. [VERIFY]
Important: requirements, deadlines and application systems change. Always confirm the latest details with each institution and on its official website before applying.
What to expect
Honest expectations
Admission decisions are made by each university and college, and no consultant can guarantee an offer. What we can do is help you build a stronger, well-organized application. You can expect:

- A clear plan for courses, documents and deadlines.
- Honest feedback on drafts — encouraging, specific and kind.
- Applications that sound like the student, not like a template.
- Less stress at home, because everyone knows what happens next.

When should we start admissions planning?
Grade 9 or 10 is ideal for course planning, and early Grade 11 is a great time to start researching programs. That said, we also help Grade 12 students who are starting in the fall — we will focus on what matters most first.
Can you guarantee my child gets into their first-choice program?
No — and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Admission decisions are made by each institution. We help students make informed choices and present the strongest, most genuine application they can.
Do you write personal statements for students?
No. Universities expect applications to be the student’s own work. We coach students through brainstorming, structure and revision, and give detailed feedback, but the words are theirs.
Do you help with both university and college applications?
Yes. We support university, college and combined pathways, and we help families compare them honestly. Many great careers start at college.
Do you help with applications outside Ontario?
Yes. We support applications to universities and colleges across Canada. [VERIFY whether you also support U.S. or international applications.]
Can parents join the meetings?
Absolutely. We invite parents to the first meeting and to key planning sessions, and we send short summaries so everyone stays on the same page.
Our honest promise: we work hard to help every student build stronger skills, habits and applications. We cannot guarantee specific marks, admission to any program or career outcomes — those depend on many factors, including each student’s effort and each institution’s decisions.
